Sean was born in Denver, Colorado but soon moved to and grew up in, suburban Cleveland, Ohio. Sean remained in Ohio for college, attending the University of Toledo and receiving a B.S. in Pharmacology/Toxicology. Now in his second year at UTMB, Sean has recently joined the lab of Dr. Kathryn Cunningham to study cocaine abuse and the potential therapeutic effects of compounds in mediating drug-related memories and drug-seeking behaviors. At the moment, Sean is looking at expression profiles of the serotonin 2C receptor (5-HT2CR) after chronic treatment of a 5-HT2CR agonist, WAY163909, followed by acute cocaine administration. Sean's life can be summed up with nine words...family/friends, work/school, sports, TBS, music and FUN!
