Biography

Laura Ray received her Master’s degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake in 1986.  She is currently the Project Director and Data Manager for the Hispanic EPESE, a longitudinal study of the health of 3,050 Mexican American Elderly in the Southwestern United States. The majority of her time is spent in data management and performing statistical analyses with the four waves of H-EPESE data.  She is currently preparing for a fifth wave of interviews, which involves questionnaire development, interviewer training, and implementation.

Laura is also the Assistant Director for Research Support in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Community Health where she manages grants and contracts for the department and various research projects.
