OVERVIEW

The Program in Public Health is administered by the Graduate Program in Preventive Medicine and Community Health.  Enrollment in the Program is open only to UTMB medical students, residents, and fellows and non-UTMB medical doctors in preventive medicine residencies.  The public health program provides this select group of students with knowledge, skills, and values needed to succeed in careers that bridge medicine and public health.  Successful completion of the program results in the award of the Master of Public Health (MPH) Degree.

ACCREDITATION
The MPH Program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).  The program was originally accredited in 2002 and in 2007 was reaccredited for the maximum seven year term.
