Yael Barr, M.D.

Dr. Barr received her medical degree from Sackler School of
Medicine, Universitat Tel Aviv,
Israel (1995) and an International Baccalaureate from Armand Hammer
United World College (1987). She is currently a resident in the combined
Internal Medicine/Aerospace Medicine Residency Program at UTMB. Her capstone title is:
“The Risk and Management of Breast Cancer for Space Exploration”.


David Cole, M.D.
(Aerospace Medicine Resident)
Dr. Cole received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas
College of Medicine (1997) and a Bachelor of Science from Arkansas
State University (1993). Dr. Cole is currently a Flight
Surgeon with the U.S. Army.

Richard Cole, M.D.
(Aerospace Medicine Resident)
Dr. Cole received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas
College of Medicine (1999) and a Bachelor of Science from Arkansas
State University (1995). Dr. Cole is currently a resident in
the Aerospace Medicine Residency Program at UTMB.

L. Andy Davenport, M.D.
(Combined Internal Medicine/Aerospace Medicine Resident)
Dr. Davenport received his medical degree from the University of
Texas Medical Branch (1999) and a Bachelor of Science from Colorado
College (1995). Dr. Davenport is currently a resident in the
combined Internal Medicine/Aerospace Medicine Residency Program at
UTMB. His capstone title is: "Design
and Implementation of the Pilot Physician Program for the U.S. Air
Force – Air National Guard".

Steve Gaydos, M.D.
(Aerospace Medicine Resident)
Dr. Gaydos received his medical degree from Georgetown University
(2002) and a Bachelor of Science from University of Dayton (1991).
Dr. Gaydos is currently a Flight Surgeon with the U.S. Army.
His capstone title is: "Taser Subject: Identification of High-Risk
Individuals".

Jon Gray, M.D.
(Aerospace Medicine Resident)
Dr. Gray received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services
University of Health Sciences School of Medicine (2006) and a
Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire
(2002). Dr. Gray is currently a Flight Surgeon with the U.S.
Army.

Greg Hyland, M.D.
(Aerospace Medicine Resident)
Dr. Hyland received his medical degree from the University of
Michigan (2000), a Master of Science from the University of North
Dakota (1993), and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Michigan
Technological University (1986). Dr. Hyland is currently a
Flight Surgeon with the U.S. Air Force.

Mark Jacques, M.D.
(Aerospace Medicine Resident)
Dr. Jacques received his medical degree from Stony Brook University
School of Medicine (1999) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1995). Dr. Jacques is
currently a Flight Surgeon with the U.S. Army.
Carlos Martinez, M.D.
(Combined Internal Medicine/Occupational Medicine
Resident)
Dr. Martinez earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional de
Colombia
(1986). Dr. Martinez is currently a resident in
the combined Internal Medicine/Occupational Medicine Residency Program
at UTMB. His
capstone title is: “Night Shift Work and Risk for Obstructive Airway
Diseases".
Teka McKnight, M.D.
(Combined Internal Medicine/General Preventive Medicine Resident)
Dr. McKnight earned her medical degree from Howard University (2005)
and a Bachelor of Science in Microbilogy from Louisiana State
University (2000). Dr. McKnight is currently a resident in the
combined Internal Medicine/General Preventive Medicine Residency
Program at UTMB. Her
capstone title is: “The Effects of Provider-Patient Relationship in
African Americans Acceptance of Colorectal Cancer Screening
Recommendations and/or Utilization of Colorectal Cancer Screening: A
Systematic Reveiw".

Nicole Powell-Dunford, M.D.
(Aerospace Medicine Resident)
Dr. Powell-Dunford received her medical degree from the Uniformed
Services University of Health Sciences School of Medicine (2001) and
a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Albany
(1993). Dr. Powell-Dunford is currently a Flight Surgeon with
the U.S. Army.
Jon
Riccitello, M.D.
(Combined Internal Medicine/Aerospace Medicine Resident)
Dr. Riccitello earned his medical degree from McGill Medical School
(2005) and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the
University of Colorado (1993). Dr. Riccitello is currently a resident in
the combined Internal Medicine/Aerospace Medicine Residency Program
at UTMB. He is a former U.S. navy submarine officer. His
capstone title is: “Utility of the 'ICE' Concept Among Galveston
Area EMS Personnel".
