Internships

Aside from didactic coursework and seminars, students will be required to do at least 3 laboratory rotations of 8 to 16 weeks duration in order to select a dissertation supervisory professor who will guide their research training for the degree.  Students in the Space Life Sciences curriculum will be offered a number of unique opportunities for rotations with faculty on the UTMB campus, with affiliated organizations involved in space simulations or at NASA, but at least one rotation is expected to be conducted at NASA/JSC or one of its contractors.
