Moderate Complexity Tests

Moderate Complexity tests are performed under the CLIA and CAP Accreditation of Pathology Clinical Services.  Policies and Procedures are available to UTMB staff during internet outages by contacting the Clinical Chemistry supervisor on duty at (409) 772-9253 for a copy.

Sites that would like to adopt a new point of care test must go through the implementation process.  For a list of POC tests currently in UTMB's formulary click here.   For specific information regarding the use of Point of Care Testing within the UTMB Health System, please refer to hospital policy IHOP-Governance of Point of Care testing.
