BICYCLE PATROL

Officer on bike patrolOur primary goal for the Bicycle Patrol Unit is to enhance community relations and patrol effectiveness, enabling the completion of the mission to Campus Public Safety and Security.

It is the priority of officers on Bicycle Patrol to operate in highly populated areas of campus.  Officers on Bicycle Patrol will also concentrate on patrolling parking lots, structures and locations less accessible to motor vehicles.

UTMB’s Bicycle Patrol is a great community relations tool.  With the bicycles our officers become more mobile and they also bring our officers closer to the people.

The Bicycle Patrol is a community service unit with services offered such as special functions and bicycle safety classes.  We just want our campus employees and students to know that we are there for them.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you.

Students and employees are encouraged to register their bicycles with the UTMB Police department free of charge. You may do this by coming by room 1.114 Administration Building.

Please be safe while riding your bicycles, always wear a helmet, obey traffic laws.
