Web Changes

This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

5/5/2005 DOWNLOAD FinchTV here

PLEASE NOTE:  There is a new option available to the view, print, BLAST, and reverse-complement your DNA Sequence Chromatograms.   The software is free for you to download and easy to use.  The software is  FinchTV by Geospiza.

"FinchTV is the must have tool for anyone working with DNA sequence data. It is used to read chromatogram files from the most popular formats. Simply drag and drop AB1 or SCF files, even those compressed with gzip, into the viewing window to display a multi-color sequence. FinchTV also displays quality values, when available, and can adjust the scale in both vertical and horizontal directions in both single and multipane views. With FinchTV, you can print your data, edit your data, export FASTA sequences to your favorite programs, and see all the details stored in your sequence files."

For more information or to download the software, please click the following link:  http://www.geospiza.com/finchtv/features/index.html

9/2/97 Sample Submission Forms are available for Protein Sequencing Samples!

3/1/98  Preparation Fees for Samples submitted for Protein Sequencing have been eliminated for samples sequenced for FIVE or MORE Edman cycles!

5/10/98 The 373 DNA Sequencer is now equipped with the XL upgrade.  This instrument now utilizes ABI's new BigDye terminator chemistry and is capable of analyzing 64 sequencing samples per gel run.

4/1/99 Sample Submission Forms are available for DNA Sequencing Samples !

5/10/99 You can now download your DNA sequence data directly from our web page.  Both the analysis files and the sequence text files are available.  Just use your utmb-users-m exchange user name and password to access your data.

9/15/99  The charges for DNA sequencing have been reduced to $20.00 per sequencing reaction.  This change is effective for samples received on or after 9/15/99.
