UTMB Community of Scholars Program

On August 18, 2003, more than 70 members of the next generation of researchers, educators and scientists were inducted into the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences through its fifth annual Community of Scholars program.

Welcoming this year’s students to UTMB were Dr. Cary W. Cooper, dean of the GSBS; keynote speaker Dr. W. Robert Fleischmann, professor of Microbiology and Immunology and Kate McElroy, Graduate Student Organization president.

In the ceremony, the students receive Community of Scholars pins and portfolios and recite the Graduate Student Code of Conduct, which reads:
