Professionalism Board

In July of 2000, UTMB President Dr. Stobo shared with a group of UTMB leaders his vision for creating a culture of professionalism at UTMB. Dr. Stobo’s goal was to move beyond the university’s initial professionalism efforts from an information stage to the accountability stage—an environment in which all university employees and students hold each other accountable for their actions and professional behavior is both encouraged and rewarded. To accomplish that charge, the UTMB Professionalism Board was created. Made up of a cross section of clinical, educational and administrative leadership, the Professionalism Board meets bi-monthly in its continued efforts to promote a culture of professionalism at UTMB.
