The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston offers a two-year ACGME accredited residency in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Essential skills and knowledge are emphasized with a wide range of clinical experience and seminars. In addition to the university-based inpatient, day hospital, outpatient and consultation services, rotations include community mental health clinics, juvenile justice, pediatric neurology and school consultation. The program has a strong emphasis on community mental health and telepsychiatry. Various special opportunities exist and the faculty encourages residents to pursue their interests.
