| COGNITIVE: |
- Be familiar with the terms used in neuropsychological testing and the expected results for
TBI.
- Define grief, mourning, and bereavement.
- Discuss the psychiatric issues with euthanasia, suicide, and ageing.
- List the three major neurotransmitters in the brain (biogenic amines,
the amino acids, and the peptides).
- Be aware of the five major neurotransmitters listed in Table 3.2-2 of
the resource text.
- Be familiar with the conditioning response of Pavlov.
- Contrast anxiety and aggression and the factors leading to abnormal amounts of each.
- List the late adult issues of disease, death, and loss of independence.

| AFFECTIVE: |
- Question the value of standardized testing and how it has limitations.
- Accept that everyone has stresses and anxiety that will manifest itself in physiologic
symptoms (stomach pain, headaches, etc.) interfering with everyday behavior.

| PSYCHOMOTOR: |
- List on the blackboard the two psychologists or psychiatrists who advanced psychoanalysis
theory.
- Express to a classmate your understanding of how one develops their views on euthanasia,
suicide, and dying.
- Discuss how traumatic brain injuries influence sex and aggression.
- Stand-up and express your views to a friend about physician assisted
suicide.
