Available AssessmentsEmployment Testing –Develop ADA compliant pre-employment and fit for duty evaluations, based on the measured essential functions of that job. Experience includes Petrol Chemical Workers, Emergency First Responders, Maritime industry, Labor, and City Workers..
Ergonomic Evaluation- Assess work sites, including traditional office set up, work environments and tools, to determine potential for musculoskeletal / repetitive injuries. Make recommendations to resolve problems in the environment allowing the employee to perform essential functions of the job.
Job Modification- Have a valued employee that needs ADA compliant environmental job modification? As registered Occupational Therapists we can provide job analysis and modification.
ADA compliant Job Descriptions- Develop ADA compliant job descriptions based on measured essential functions.
Functional Capacity Evaluations- 2-3 hour- Comprehensive evaluation, assessing physical tolerance, to assist the Physician making vocational/ work related or disability decisions. Physician referral required.
Cognitive Evaluation- ~ 2hrs of cognitive assessments to help physician identify deficits and recommend possible treatment or resource options
The Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, or DARS, administers programs to ensure that individuals with disabilities, and children who have developmental delays, enjoy the same opportunities as other Texans, to live independent and productive lives. UTMB Work Programs is a recognized Vendor of DARS services, formally known as the Texas Rehabilitation Commission (TRC), since 1986. 5 Day Vocational Evaluation-- Evaluate and match employment potential and interests: physical, academic, cognitive, and social skills- Utilize up to 40 assessments
Job Quest Training- Resume writing skills, cover Letter, interview skills, interview etiquette
Vocational Adjustment training- Beneficial for people who have been out of the work force for a while: how to get a job; keep a job, and the socialization skills to maintain employment.
Job Placement- Teaching job seeking skills, and guidance for follow up with job leads or interviews.
Job Readiness Assessment- 1 day assessment of work potential: Give recommendations for feasible competitive employment and recommend additional services.
