The University of Texas Medical Branch
Regional Maternal & Child Health Program

Our Program

Exceptional health care is available from the Regional Maternal & Child Health Program at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB). Sponsored by UTMB's Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, this outreach program serves women and children in more than 25 counties in south, southeast, and deep east Texas.

Modern facilities and equipment, plus excellent staff support, provide an optimal environment for exciting and challenging clinical work for career-minded physicians, certified nurse midwives, advanced nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. In addition, research, administration, and continuing education opportunities are available in this growing organization.

Our patients find a warm, supportive environment in the Regional Maternal & Child Health Program Centers. They are able to receive many different health care and supportive services in one visit to the clinic. Our health care workers also enjoy having direct lines of communication to a preeminent tertiary health care center for

consultation, referral, and support.

This web site provides helpful information about the program, and we hope you will call us at (409) 772-2388 with any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Garland D. Anderson, M.D.
