About Us

We are committed to bringing quality healthcare, education and human services to women and children of medically underserved communities in Texas.

The Regional Maternal and Child Health Program is dedicated to improving the lives of women and their families, by providing health care, counseling and education. Our non-profit health clinics offer a wide variety of services for women and families, including family planning, prenatal care, and breast and cervical cancer screening. All of our services are delivered in an atmosphere of care and respect.

The RMCHP is sponsored by UTMB's Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. This program has 16 Maternal and Child Health Clinics and 20 Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition clinics located across East and Southeast Texas. We currently serve over 100,000 women and children.

Our patients find a warm and supportive environment in the Regional Maternal & Child Health Program clinics. We are proud to say that in a single visit, our patients are able to receive many different heath care and support services. As a part of UTMB, our health care providers enjoy direct lines of communication to a pre-eminent tertiary health care center for consultation, referral and support.

Career-minded physicians, certified nurse midwives, advanced nurse practitioners and physician assistants are provided with challenging work, in an optimal environment, using only the latest medical facilities and equipment, supported by excellent staff. In addition, there are numerous research, administration, and continuing education opportunities available within our growing organization.
