Welcome to Smart Monitoring 2008
Dear Colleague,
All is progressing well on planning for Smart Monitoring 2008. We have an outstanding group of DOD
and academic clinicians and researchers that will be presenting real world needs for trauma and combat
casualty care. They have been asked to describe the current medical monitors and trauma care systems,
and what they need and want for the future. We have had an equally outstanding commitment from both
large and small companies that will present the best of monitoring, both what is now on the shelf, and
emerging technologies.
The meeting format is to group speakers by themes. The group speakers will then sit for a panel discussion and field questions from a moderator and the audience.
Lunch will be provided. There is no fee for DOD and academic speakers or attendees. In order to cover costs of the lunch, room and audiovisual and registration services there will be a registration fee for industrial speakers and guests.
Thank you for your enthusiasm.
