So, you've heard a good one.
First, please read the groundrules.

I read 'em...Here's my rumor:

Your name:

Department:

Email address:

The Rumors and Trumors Groundrules

  1. We will prioritize submissions and address the ones with the most "global" or campus-wide impact first. If a rumor is widespread or would potentially affect everyone, it will get answered before the question about the candy machine on the second floor of Building XYZ. ("What? They're restructuring our candy machine?" No, no. Be calm.)
  2. We will not respond to any rumors implicating or discrediting individuals. Such information can be slanderous, mean spirited or otherwise harmful, and posting it, even if well countered or disproven, is not in keeping with our principles of professionalism and teamwork.
  3. Our intention is to accept and investigate anonymous submissions, but we will address signed rumors first. When you submit a rumor, you're giving the institution a chance to speak up for itself. That's a good thing, and we appreciate it. By the same token, signing your name tells us the submission is made in earnest. You have our pledge that we will continue to support honest and open communication, and do not have to fear retribution as a result of a submission to this web site.
  4. We will not post your name, even when you send it to us, but we will try in every applicable situation to let you know who the source was for the responses. Unattributted responses are usually straight from the President's Office.
  5. Please, one rumor per submission. If you have several rumors for us to address, send us multiple requests.
  6. In our current configuration, we address about one rumor a week in the digital pages of Impact, UTMB's employee newsletter. Some requests are really simple, and we can address them quickly. Some may take a little longer. We'll do our best to address as many rumors as we can. Please be patient and we'll keep the information flowing. If you're asking about an urgent, timely  issue, or something that relates to you personally, speak with with your supervisor or seek information through some other source. If we can help you, we may respond offline.

  7. The previously addressed rumors will continue to be archived on the original site.

Ok, ok! Let me send you my rumor.

Take me to Impact and any new rumors...
