The institution demonstrates that each educational program for which academic credit is awarded is approved by the faculty and the administration. (Academic Program Approval)

Narrative:

At The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, all new or substantially changed educational programs in each of the four schools follow a general process that is consistent with Texas law, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) Rules, and the Regents' Rules and Regulations (1) (2a) (2b) (3) (4). Each new program is initiated at the faculty program level, but each school has its own internal review process specific to its academic mission. All, however, require approval of faculty (5).
