Narrative:
At The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, all new or substantially changed educational programs in each of the four schools follow a general process that is consistent with Texas law, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) Rules, and the Regents' Rules and Regulations (1) (2a) (2b) (3) (4). Each new program is initiated at the faculty program level, but each school has its own internal review process specific to its academic mission. All, however, require approval of faculty (5).

Documents submitted as part of approval process for new or substantially changed educational programs are included as source references (6a) (6b) (7) (8a) (8b) (9a) (9b).
