Narrative:

The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston publishes academic policies that adhere to principles of good educational practice and are disseminated to students, faculty, and other interested parties through publications that accurately represent the programs and services of UTMB.

The academic policies of UTMB are published in the General Information Catalog (1) and the bulletins for each of the four schools (2) (3) (4) (5). The catalog and bulletins are available through the UTMB web sites (Internet and intranet) (6a) (6b) and printed copies of the catalogs and bulletins are available in the offices of the Associate Dean for Student Affairs for each school.

Academic policies also adhere to the accreditation standards of licensing and certification programs for medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, clinical laboratory science, physician assistants, and respiratory care (7) (8) (9) (10) (11) (12) (13).
