The Sealy Center on Aging Volunteer Registry

Purpose:

Senior volunteers (age 55 and over) are being invited to join the UTMB Center on Aging Volunteer Registry. The Registry is a list of people who have volunteered to take part in research studies on the health and well-being of older persons. By becoming a participant in aging research you will have a chance to learn more about your own health, receive a newsletter focusing on senior health issues, and participate in studies that are interesting to you. For more information please see Ten of the Most Commonly Asked Questions.

UTMB faculty with a special interest in aging (in areas such as exercise, nutrition, and memory function) use the Registry to recruit subjects for their studies. From time to time a UTMB investigator might send you information about an opportunity to participate in a study. You are never under any obligation to participate in a study. Information for Research Investigators.

Reimbursement:

Some studies may pay for transportation and/or participation.

Subject Information Form:

If you are interested in being part of the Volunteer Registry please fill out the Subject Information Form online and submit it through our website or give us a call and we'll mail you the form. Your name will then be put on the Registry list. Remember this does not obligate you in any way to participate.

Please give us a call if you have any questions regarding the Volunteer Registry or participating in the exciting research currently underway at UTMB.
