Pre and Postdoctoral Training Program: Funded by the National Institute on Aging, this program provides training for pre- and postdoctoral researchers interested in studying the health of older minorities, particularly older Hispanics.
Pre and Post-Doctoral Training in Comparative Effectiveness Research: The Sealy Center on Aging has pre- and post-doctoral fellowship positions for training in research focused on the comparative effectiveness of health care provided to older adults, with an emphasis on cancer related outcomes.
Geriatric Electives: At UTMB, geriatrics content is woven throughout the 4-year undergraduate medical school curriculum. Multiple modalities teach and provide experiences to support geriatrics learning objectives. The geriatrics curriculum is comprised of a series of lectures, PBL cases, standardized patient encounters, and community experiences incorporated throughout the curriculum.
Medical Electives: There are currently three (3) geriatric electives available for selection by students to fulfill their requirements.
