My research concentrates on the pathogenesis and epidemiology of viral hemorrhagic fevers and how these diseases can be controlled. Vaccines play a strong role in this effort. I am concentrating on the further development and understanding of the human vaccine for Rift Valley fever that I developed with my colleagues at USAMRIID as well as the development of a practical veterinary vaccine for the same virus. |
