UTMB will celebrate Employee Service Day on March 27, when 593 employees(PDF) will receive their service pins. Collectively, these recipients represented 7,280 years of service to the university and its mission. The service pins are presented in five year increments, with 50 years being the longest tenure honored at this ceremony.

Pin recipients are honored at a private breakfast from 7 - 9 a.m. The public is invited to join the party as the honored employees receive their service pins in a 2 p.m. ceremony in the Levin Hall Auditorium. The university will also honor 755 GEM recipients (PDF). These employees have been singled out by their peers for "Going the Extra Mile."
