Laurie Farroni

UTMB SHP is pleased to announce that Dr. Laurie Farroni has agreed to serve as Assistant Dean for Global Outreach & Community Engagement in the School of Health Professions as of February 2, 2022.

This role is accountable for designing and implementing systems and processes that support the UTMB School of Health Professions in the equitable and inclusive expansion of global professional networks and community partnerships. Dr. Farroni will lead in fostering lasting collaborations that advance opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to improve the health of the people of Texas and around the world.

Dr. Farroni is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Department of Physical Therapy in the School of Health Professions (SHP) at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). She received her Doctorate and Master’s in Physical Therapy at UTMB
