Information Services provides a number of
computer services for UTMB including the periodic refresh of UTMB-owned
computer equipment on
the campus. In order to have a system that is consistent with the
kinds of equipment you will experience on the campus during your studies
at UTMB, you are advised to purchase equipment that is compatible in
performance.

used in a business environment; your requirements for a home
computer may be slightly different.
For a laptop consider whether you will bring it to campus with you.
