Student Elections
Fall 2009 Student Government Elections
The Student Government Assocaition Fall Elections will be held on Tuesday, September 29th and will be online. Below is a listing of the election dates and positions available for each school. All nominations must be made by the candidate themself and they must also complete an Election Agreement Form at the time of nomination.
NOMINATIONS: September 8th - 18th (all nominations must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. 9/18/09) Candidate must come by Student Life (2nd Floor of the Jamail Student Center) and nominate himself/herself by signing up as a candidate and receiving an election packet.
CAMPAIGN: From time candidate registers through September 28th. This time is set-aside for students to advertise their candidacy and inform constituents of their platform.
ELECTION: Tuedsay, September 29th - Elections are run on-line and all students will receive directions in an e-mail from Student Life closer to the election date.
RUN-OFF: October 5th (If necessary) Run-off election will also be on-line and all students groups (classes and/or schools) affected will receive directions in an e-mail from Student Life.
POSITIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
All students seeking office shall be registered students at UTMB and are required to be in good standing, and shall not be on either scholastic or disciplinary probation. These positions have been reserved for new incoming students at UTMB.

1 Senator and 1 Alternate Senator
School of Health Professions
1 Senator and 1 Alternate Senator
School of Nursing
1 Senator and 1 Alternate Senator
School of Medicine Class of 2013
Class President - Senator
Class Vice President - Senator
Class Treasurer/Secretary - Alternate Senator
Curriculum Representative (Non-SGA Position) - 2 positions
Honor Education Council Representatives - 3 positions
