Movies at the Plaza

The Office of Student Life is proud to present the "Movie at the Plaza" Movie Series. These are movies that have already run in theaters but are not yet available on DVD. The Movie on the Plaza series will take place on campus. Other movie events may take place off campus.

All showings are FREE for UTMB students and their spouses/fiances. Spouses/fiances of students may attend only if accompanying their spouse. No other guests (parents, children, friends, etc.) will be admitted. We will have free soft drinks and popcorn when the movie is shown on cmapus.

Most of the movies will be shown on campus, either at the plaza in front of the Jamail Student Center and Old Red on the GIANT outdoor movie screen or in the Clinical Science Auditorium. For outdoor movies, please ress comfortably, bring a blanket or folding chair, and enjoy our own private showing! Occasionally we will rent out a theater at the local cinema and show a first run release. Please check the movie announcement to find the correct location. Also, in case of inclement weather on the scheduled days for outdoor movies, the movie will be moved to the Clinical Science Auditorium. Outdoor showings will start later as it has to be dark to be able to see the movie.
