SGA All Sports Day
Alright ladies and gentlemen, get out those sports bras and jock straps, because it's finally time for UTMB's annual All Sports Day!
You might not remember us having All Sports Day last year due to some fellow named Ike, but this year on Saturday, November 7th we're looking forward to having teams of you compete for the title of 2009 All Sports Day Champion.
So for those of you who don't know, what is All Sports Day? It's a day long set of sporting events including:
* A 5K (approximately) Fun Run
* Dodgeball (Coed - 6 on 6)
* Home Run Derby
* Punt, Pass, and Kick Challenge
* Soccer PK ShootOuts
* Volleyball (Coed - 6 on 6)
* Basketball (Coed - 4 on 4)
* Tennis (Men and Women Singles and Mixed Doubles)
* Racquetball
* Swimming Relays (Men and Women 50 m and 4 x 50m coed relay)
How much does it cost to participate? Just $15.00 for students and $25.00 for spouses/fiances/significant others. I know, amazing isn't it.
For that entrance fee, you'll receive:
* A 2009 All Sports Day Tshirt
* A boxed lunch and a drink
* Entrance to all sporting events
* Prizes for event winners.
So how do you sign up? Well, stop by the Office of Student Life to fill out your entrance form as well as submit your fee. You have two options this year. You can sign up as an individual or as a team. Teams will participate in all events and will send 1 team member to each individual sport. Individuals can win each event, but teams earn points for the wins that their members accumulate throughout the day. Based on the number of points earned throughout the day, we will decide who will be crowned 2009 All Sports Day Champions.
Finally, if you're interested in helping with All Sports Day, please contact us, as we'd love to have your help.
If you have any questions, please email Mike Cromie, Brian Lobo, Leanne Hoge, or Ericka Hailey, or just stop by OLS. We'd love to see you.
SIGNUPS CLOSE MONDAY NOVEMBER 2ND AT 5PM. NO EXCEPTIONS!
