Student Socials

The Student Government Association sponsors about five student parties each school year. These parties, formerly known as "TGIF" parties (they were traditionally on Fridays, but now occur mostly on Thursdays), are hosted by a registered student organization and normally have a theme of some kind. If a student organization is interested in hosting a student party, it must present a written proposal to the SGA Budget Committee. Some of the traditional themes include Hispanic Heritage Month, Halloween, Black History Month, Mardi Gras, and TGITexas.

If your organization is interested in hosting a student party, please contact the Office of Student Life for further details.
