Services Provided

Student Wellness provides primary care for enrolled students, with an emphasis on wellness and prevention, stressing each student’s personal responsibility for health.

Services provided include:

  • Screening for and provision of required immunizations and TB skin testing
  • Primary care including physicals, Well Woman exams and family planning
  • Evaluation and treatment of minor illnesses and injury
  • Assessment and treatment of occupational exposures to blood and body fluids or other communicable diseases
  • Referrals to specialty clinics
  • Health education and health promotion activities
  • Travel medications and immunizations for an at-cost charge

There is no charge for visits or for follow-up of occupational exposures. Many immunizations and all tuberculosis skin-testing are offered at no charge to the student; however, there is an at-cost charge for hepatitis B, MMR and varicella (chicken pox) immunizations.

After Hours Care

After hours, weekends, and holidays you may call the Healthcare Hotline at 1-800-917-8906. Telephone triage is provided by the Hotline and physician backup consultation is available. Emergency Room and hospitalization costs are the student's responsibility.
