President’s Commitment
The University of Texas Medical Branch has a long-standing commitment to diversity. In fact, diversity is one of the five UTMB core values that form the foundation upon which all of our decisions are made. In support of this core value, UTMB’s State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program and Federal Small Business Program actively encourage the use of minority and women-owned businesses, (HUBS) as well as companies classified as Small Businesses (SB), Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), HUBZone Small Businesses (HUBZone), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SD-VOSB), in securing products and services needed to fulfill UTMB’s education, research, patient care and missions.
We are proud to be a part of the successful growth of the State and Federal Small Business Programs in the Houston/Galveston business community.
