Clinical Preventive Medicine Service (CPMS)
Provides service and mentorship that fosters greater communication and promotes integrated approaches to human performance during postgraduate training. Residents may experience biopsychosocial conditions that diminish performance or learning. Stress may also lead to increases in residents' dysfunction in peer interactions and increased intrapersonal problems.
Goals of CPMS
- To offer mentoring and consultation- liaison opportunities for
residents, both individually and for significant others, family
members
- To support the resident's efforts in the transitions during
residency across the different stages of the careers of surgeons,
from the junior to the senior levels
