UTMB recognized for commitment to commuters
At the Houston-Galveston Area Council luncheon on Sept. 9, UTMB was recognized as one of "Houston's Best Work Places for Commuters." Commute Solutions, Inc., in partnership with the EPA and U.S. Dept. of Transportation, cited UTMB's commitment to providing "outstanding benefits" for commuters; those benefits include free parking for commuter vans as well as innovative resources like the UTMB Commute Information site. The plaque, which will be on display in UTMB's recognition case in John Sealy Towers, notes that UTMB has achieved the "Best Workplaces for Commuters National Standard of Excellence."
