FAQ

Do I have to log in to create a listing?
Logging in is a requirement; it allows us to keep track of who posted what, and it also provides the authentication necessary to give users the ability to delete their own posts, but no one else's.

Do I have to log in to browse or search the listings?
Absolutely not.

Can I post personal items on the Swap Shop?
Absolutely not.

I have something I'd like to make available on the Swap Shop, but I think it's an inventoried item. Can I list it?
Most inventoried items will have a UTMB inventory tag affixed to them. Inventoried items are not eligible for posting on the Swap Shop. Some items, like camera lenses, don't have a convenient spot to affix the tag, and so don't have one. They are still considered an inventoried item, and are not eligible for listing on the Swap Shop.

I have something I'd like to make available on the Swap Shop, but I'm not sure if it is a non-inventoried item. Who should I contact?
If you are unsure, don't post the item until you've cleared the item with your Departmental Property Officer (DPO) or Departmental Property Contact (DPC). UTMB inventoried items are not eligible for posting on the Swap Shop.

I created a listing, and someone claimed the items I offered. Who deletes my original listing?
You are responsible for managing your listing. Listings disappear on their own after six weeks.
