The agreement governing the conditions for performing research funded by entities other than the government. If the SRA involves clinical protocols they are handled by Research Services, with all others negotiated by the Center for Technology Development in close contact with the Principal Investigator. The major contributions from the Principal Investigator in an SRA are the planned research and the actual budget. The Center will handle negotiations with the sponsor for indirect costs, since these are established by the University and not the PI.
