The Department of Human Resources and University Leadership are constantly striving to recognize and reward professionalism in our employees. The “TEXAS” program (Terrific Employees eXcel in Attendance Stewardship) was developed to reward classified employees for being excellent stewards of their leave accruals. Since 2000 the program has honored an average of 2,000 employees per quarter and out of those honored, 125 winners were rewarded through the quarterly and annual drawings.
As a part of our effort to reward and recognize professionalism we are continually looking at ways to improve our programs. Over the years the program’s ability to reach everyone and remain effective has decreased. With this in mind the decision was made to discontinue the TEXAS program after the final FY06-07 quarter. The winners for the final Quarter IV and Annual drawings are listed below.
UTMB is looking into other cost effective programs that recognize and reward individuals for their contributions and performance. Please stay tuned for future developments.
