On February 14, we will be upgrading Kronos to
handle the new Daylight Savings Time that becomes effective March 11. With this
upgrade, we will be using a new JAVA Run Time Environment.

Phase II of KRONOS Implementation
Timekeeping for all UTMB classified employees
(those paid on a bi-weekly basis) successfully transitioned to the KRONOS system
more than six months ago. Since that time, the KRONOS project team has been
working on “Phase II” of the implementation which includes:
- Changing Labor levels to contain PeopleSoft
departments instead of Organizational I.D.s (ORG I.D.s)
- Entering non-classified leave time in KRONOS
instead of the HRMS “FLEA” form.
- Utilizing a new online tool to communicate
work and leave time corrections to Payroll so that Historical Edits are
entered in the KRONOS system instead of HRMS
Hands-on training will be provided to KRONOS
Timekeepers beginning in January 2006. Registration for the training classes
will begin December 20, 2005. Additional information regarding registration and
the training classes will be emailed to you, and posted on the UTMB KRONOS
homepage.
All KRONOS timekeepers are strongly encouraged
to attend a Phase II class.
