The
Wortham Fountain provides a space for reflection amid the bustle of UTMB’s
education, research and patient care endeavors. Its quiet simplicity gives
expression to the commitment to human life that takes place within the walls of
the buildings that surround it. Located in the heart of the UTMB campus, near
the Ashbel Smith Building and the Lee Hage Jamail Student Center, the fountain
was made possible by a donation from the Wortham Foundation of Houston.
