December 13, 2007 Recap

On Thursday, Dec. 13, members of the university community were invited to a UTMB Town Hall meeting hosted by President David L. Callender. At the meeting, we marked the conclusion of 2007 and celebrated the holiday season. Melvin Williams presented the winner of the 2007 Emily Friedman/Levin Lecture Scholarship in Diversity and Health Care, graduate student Cristof Straub. Dr. Joan Richardson was presented with the first "Heart and Soul" award for her successful leadership of the SECC campaign. And, Dr. Callender offered a sense of the priorities and vision emerging for the institution, the result of many discussions and much input during the past 90 days.

If you missed the meeting, it is being broadcast live on campus cable television, channel 53, through Dec. 21. It is also being rebroadcast on the web (available below).
