Coping With Difficult People
In times of change, we all manage our emotions differently. This class will discuss ways to manage difficult emotions and ways to eliminate negativity.

 

Dealing With Loss
This class will discuss ways to handle the many layers of emotional and personal loss experienced after Hurricane Ike. Attendees will learn coping skills to endure this stressful time of clean-up, recovery and rebuilding.

 

Helping Children After a Disaster
Our kids evacuated, entered strange schools and lost their possessions as a result of Ike. Helpful tips on how to recognize and manage stress in children. Parents and grandparents will find this class helpful.

 

Holiday Stress
Celebrating the holidays might be a little strange this year after Hurricane Ike. Learn how to manage the stress that seems to get bigger at holiday times.

 

Managing Emotions
Managing emotions such as anger successful in this time of change is important. This class will focus on how to discern between healthy and unhealthy anger as well as identify useful techniques to utilize when needed.

 

Managing Stress After Ike
In times of chaos, uncertainty and confusion, we may experience not just one, but several of those days filled with stress and anxiety. This class will focus on signs and symptoms, and healthy self-care practices to reduce stress and re-energize to meet challenges.
