Job Search Training

Resume Writing
A well-written resume and cover letter can often mean the difference between getting called for an interview or having your application get lost in the shuffle. In this session, you will learn the secrets to creating an attention-grabbing resume and cover letter.

 

The Job Interiew
Interview - What are some of the major do's nd don'ts when interviewing with a prospective employer? Learn how to sell yourself and your skills effectively in order to make a lasting first impression. Learn how to answer behavioral based questions that enable you to answer every question and highlight your experience.

 

 

One-On-One Sessions

Consultants are available at both locations (I-45/Nasa Road One and Campus-Admin Building); no appointment is needed.

 

Resume Feedback
Meet one-on-one with a consultant who will review your resume and/or cover letter and provide advice on the best approach to market yourself. We can help you get started or add the finishing professional touches to your resume or cover letter. You can also send your resume for feedback by emailing it to: help.center@utmb.edu.

 

Individual Coaching
Work on your individual job search or interview preparation. Be prepared to handle the difficult interview questions.
