The charge of the UTMB Web Advisory Board is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the institution’s World Wide Web presence and to promote and optimize the web’s use as a communication tool. The board, which is multidisciplinary and cross-representational, was created by and operates under the direction of the UTMB President’s Council. The board is responsible for the appearance, structure and functionality of the university’s top level pages, for adopting visual standards and promoting their use, for reviewing and proposing web publishing guidelines in concert with state and UT System policies, for promoting the development of campus web expertise, and for bringing strategic and tactical Internet issues to the attention of the President’s Council for their consideration.
