 WS_FTP
LE
WS_FTP LE (LE is for Limited Edition) is a free (to universities)
file transfer protocol (FTP) client. Download it from: http://insync.tucows.com/win2k/preview/38529.html
.
To setup WS_FTP to access your web pages:
1. Start WS_FTP.
2. Click the New button (on the General tab).
3. Enter a Profile Name, e.g. UTMB WWW.
4. Enter wahoo.utmb.edu for the Host. Leave the Host type
on Automatic.
5. Enter your email username in the User ID box, prepended with
utmb-users-m\.
6. Enter your email password in the password box. Click
the Save Pwd option if you prefer not to enter your password each time
you start the program (and your machine is secure).
7. On the Startup tab enter the Initial Remote Site Folder
name; this is usually your web URL name /<webname>.
If desired, enter an Initial Local Folder name (where you keep web files
on your PC).
8. Hit the Apply button to save. Then click OK to
connect.
To transfer files select the files you wish to transfer (click or
cntrl-click or shift-click) and click the arrow button in the direction
you want to transfer (upload or download). Usually this is the
right arrow to move files from your PC to the web server.
