Chronic Pelvic Pain Clinic

Some women have pelvic pain symptoms that are difficult to diagnose and treat. Patients with chronic pain have often been previously diagnosed with endometriosis, irritable bowel syndrome, interstitial cystitis or fibromyalgia, and traditional therapies have failed. In this population of patients, multiple etiologies for pain may exist.

Patients referred to the Chronic Pelvic Pain Clinic will have an in-depth screening, history and physical exam by our board-certified gynecologist. Once the source (or sources) of the chronic pain have been identified, patients will receive an individualized plan of care. Specialists from gastroenterology, urogynecology, surgery, anesthesiology, physical therapy and psychology are included in the treatment team when needed. Improvement in their overall quality of life is the goal.
