Truong Nguyen, M.D.
Dr. Nguyen received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Christus St. Joseph Hospital. He also graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the University of Texas in Austin. Born in Vietnam, but growing up in Houston, Dr. Truong is no stranger to the Bay Area or the UTMB System. "I have been with the UTMB system for about 2 years since the inception of a new OB/GYN residency in Austin, Texas. The Women's HealthCare Center gave me the opportunity to continue working within the UTMB system and at the same time be closer to my family in Houston." His professional membership includes a junior fellowship of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics. He is board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. When asked about his philosophy on patient care, Dr. Nguyen says, "I strive to do what is best for my patients by asking one simple question 'would I recommend the same course of treatment for my mother or sister if they have the same condition or illness?'"
