UTMB WORK SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Creating Educational Opportunities for Employees

ELIGIBILITY

• 6-12 months employment at UTMB
  (depending on the program)

• Satisfactory performance evaluation

• Support of Supervisor and Department

• Commitment to remain at UTMB after graduation

• Completion of admission criteria
  (specific requirement for each program)

Applicant Criteria:  To qualify for Work School support an individual must be a UTMB employee for one year (exceptions are made for those in clinical courses) and have satisfactory performance (no 0's or 1's on the annual performance evaluation).  There are specific criteria for each degree program.  Consult the application form for more specific information.  Degrees supported must qualify for an employee to fill "Hard-to-Fill" positions within UTMB. 

The employee must get written support from their work manager and department head.  A copy of the most recent annual performance appraisal is required with the application.
