 sp\;Ethan A. Halm\, MD\, MPH\, MBA is a tenured Professor Medicine\, the i
 naugural Vice Chancellor for Population Health at Rutgers Health\, and the
  Henry Rutgers Professor for Population Health Innovation. In this role\, 
 he aims to advance\n    Population Health initiatives in research\, educat
 ion\, and clinical care across the Rutgers schools of medicine\, public he
 alth\, nursing\, pharmacy\, health professions\, dentistry\, and graduate 
 studies\, and our affiliated clinical partners. He is also\n    the Deputy
  Chief Population Health Officer for the RWJBarnabas Health System\, a 12 
 hospital regional healthcare network that is the leading academic health s
 ystem in NJ. He is an experienced clinical and scientific leader\, researc
 her\, and mentor.\n    Dr. Halm has 26 years of experience conducting fede
 rally funded outcomes\, health services\, comparative effectiveness\, appl
 ied informatics\, and population health research and has over 258 peer-rev
 iewed publications. He has been a PI/MPI on over $26\n    million in grant
 s from NIH\, AHRQ\, and national and state foundations and agencies. His r
 esearch focuses on: 1) improving cancer screening and chronic disease mana
 gement\; 2) understanding the patient\, provider\, system\, and community 
 factors that influence\n    the quality\, outcomes\, and equity of care\; 
 and\, 3) implementing interventions to improve population health and healt
 h equity\, and 4) developing clinical prediction models and population hea
 lth analytics using electronic health record data.Dr. Halm received his B.
 A. from Wesleyan University\, M.D. from the Yale School of Medicine\, and 
 M.P.H. from Harvard University. Following an internal medicine residency a
 t the University of California\, San Francisco\, he completed a general in
 ternal medicine\n    fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He 
 also has a M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Busin
 ess.
