Bookmarklets use code snippets to temporarily modify the page view to highlight accessibility considerations. You can see how they work by selecting the corresponding button in the list below
Using bookmarklets
- Drag the button to your bookmarks or favorites toolbar or folder
- Add any additional notes, links, etc.
- Navigate to a test page and select the desired bookmarklet
- Refresh the page to return to the original view
Tips
- Create a bookmarks or favorites folder for quick page testing
- Bookmarks often run locally which can be helpful during the development phase
- Put the author's web address in the bookmarks keywords or tag field so you know where they came from
