Yu Lu, PhD
Yu Lu is a postdoctoral research fellow in Behavioral Health and Research. She received her PhD degree in Communication from the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences at Pennsylvania State University. Her primary research interests are at the intersection of health and intercultural communication with a focus on health decision-making and health disparities, specifically in the substance use context. She also is interested in research methods particularly in the context of working with diverse cultural groups, such as accessing and gaining trust with minority populations and cross-cultural measure adaptation. She currently is working to develop a school-based intervention in Kenya to target adolescent risky behaviors including substance use and relationship violence.
