Dave Ketchens began his career as an Electrical Contractor in the state of Georgia. He has been a healthcare facilities management professional over 25 years with significant experience in the areas of facilities planning, design, construction, plant operations, maintenance, security, safety/environment of care, clinical engineering, custodial services, grounds, emergency management and other areas of support services within healthcare organizations through-out the country and internationally. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1995 and his MBA from Walden University in 2007. He is a Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager, Education Facilities Professional and a Certified Education Facilities Professional.
Dave came to UTMB in 2004 as the Director of Facilities Operations in charge of Maintenance and Grounds. He is now the Associate Vice President of Property Services and leads a team of Directors in the areas of Maintenance, Custodial Services and Clinical Equipment Services for the campus.
In addition to his other duties, Dave has been Chair of the Environment of Care Committee since 2009 and has been Chair of the Institutional Diversity Council since 2006.
